What we keep, where your files go, and when they are deleted

Plain answers, no legal padding. Last updated 10 October 2026.

In short: your editor projects never leave your browser. Files you send for protection go to our server and, for the processing itself, to a GPU we rent by the hour. The original is deleted as soon as it has been processed, and the protected result two days later. We don't use advertising or tracking.

Your account

Accounts are created by the administrator; there is no public sign-up. For each account we store:

The editor

Files you protect

WhatWhereKept for
The file you upload, or the file behind a link you pasteOur server, then the GPU for processingDeleted right after processing
The protected resultOur serverTwo days, then deleted — download it in time
Job details (file name, size, length, status, cost)Our databaseKept, for your job list and for accounting

The GPU. Protection needs a powerful graphics card. We rent one from Vast.ai only while there is work, and release it afterwards. Your file is sent to it over an encrypted connection for that one job and nothing else; the rented machine is deleted shortly after it goes idle.

Links. When you paste a link (for example from Instagram or YouTube), our server downloads the file from that site on your behalf.

Backups

The database (accounts and job details — not your files) is backed up every night on our own server. Each backup is kept for 14 days.

Cookies

Only what the site needs to work: your sign-in session and your language choice. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

Deleting your data

Ask the administrator who gave you access. Deleting an account removes its jobs and files. Projects in your browser are yours to delete there.

What protection does not do

Protection makes the faces in your files much harder for AI tools to use. It does not hide them from people, it cannot undo anything already collected about you, and it is not a guarantee. See what Basir does, and does not.
